Yoga Awareness ISYA Teaching Certifications

Yoga Awareness ISYA Certification
Yoga Awareness ~ The International School of Yoga & Ayurveda

Yoga Awareness ISYA

Standards & Certifications
( YOGA TEACHER / THERAPIST  200, 500, 1000 hours )
( AYURVEDA THERAPIST 200, 500, 1000 hours )

The Yoga Awareness ISYA (International School of Yoga & Ayurveda) certification is a standard established in 2002 by Yoga Awareness (USA), Yoga Raksanam (INDIA) and Ayu Wellness (INDIA). The purpose was to set a standard honoring the Eastern origins of Yoga and Ayurveda, and then apply these ancient teachings with integrity in a modern day Western environment. The pre-requisites for achieving these high standards are two-fold:
(1) teacher/student relationship,
(2) developing daily sadhana (practice).
Only from this well-established foundation can a high caliber of teachers and therapists develop.

Yoga Awareness offer the highest international standards of professional Yoga and Ayurveda trainings. There are 3 levels of Yoga and Ayurveda training (ISYA 200, 500, 1000). They prepare Yoga Teachers to share Raja Yoga and the Teachings of Patanjali through the Krishnamacharya lineage, and Ayurveda Therapists to be of service with the Teachings of Charaka samhita and Ashtanga Hridayam samhita. Each level is consecutive and requires the previous level of achievement before proceeding on to the next level. The certification requirements are to ensure that the student is 'fit and ready' so that the growth of the student becomes a positive transformation.

On successful completion of each training you will be certified by Yoga Awareness as a ISYA Yoga Teacher / Therapist or as a ISYA Ayurveda Therapist. You will also be automatically eligible for the Yoga Alliance RYT 200 certification and can become a member with the International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) and the National Ayurveda Medical Association (NAMA). The Yoga Awareness ISYA certification may be used to teach at any Yoga studio, worldwide.

Avoid Prejudice

"Prejudice is the greatest evil, rather the deadliest poison to spiritual life. It keeps one confined to himself, losing all access to a broader vision. It creates narrow-mindedness and all prospects of development and progress are lost to those who pin their soul to it. Prejudice breeds hatred towards others and it is nothing but a feeling of false self-superiority in a disguised from. If you nurture this evil, you thereby add one more link to the existing chain of egoism. Consequently you remain father away from reality. The realisation of the Limitless thus becomes an impossibility."
