Training Overview AYURVEDA HEALTHCARE Level 2 training is for 5 half days with a total of 25 hours of in-person studio or online zoom training. On successful completion you will receive a Yoga Awareness certification.
LEARN: The foundation principles of Ayurveda, analyzing 'prakrtti' (our natural state), analyzing 'vikrtti' (our acquired state), dosha (vata, pitta, kapha) disturbances and food niyama sadhana (food attributes, eating patterns, diets). You will gain a holistic understanding of caring for your body using the profound methods of Ayurveda and how to apply simple and effective healthcare in your daily life.
CURRICULUM: Daily AyurYoga practice followed by Ayurveda theory, constitutional analysis, food sadhana practice and Ayurveda self treatment demonstration.
Training Pre-Requisite Ayurveda Healthcare Level 1 Training
Training Format IN-PERSON STUDIO OR ONLINE ZOOM 5 HALF DAYS (5 hours per day)
DAY 1 Opening and introduction, AyurYoga practice with mantra, Ayurveda classic theory of 3 pillars and lifestyle choices, review Prakrtti (natural constitution) analysis, review Nadi pulse reading.
DAY 2 AyurYoga practice with mantra, Ayurveda theory of Dhatu and Dushya, review Agni and Mala, Ayurveda theory on dosha disturbances and Vikrtti (disturbed constitution) analysis.
DAY 3 AyurYoga practice with mantra, Understanding Food reviews and Food Attributes of tastes and actions (rasa, virya, guna), Samskara (food cravings), planning Ahara Niyama Sadhana (meal diets) for Vata, Pitta, Kapha.
DAY 4 AyurYoga practice with mantra, Ayurveda theory review of Food Attributes and examples, Planning your Ayurveda Sadhana (food discipline), Seasonal helpful hints, Common health issues (menstruation, pregnancy, allergies, dieting, fasting, health disturbances).
DAY 5 AyurYoga practice with mantra, Ayurveda theory, Analyzing a person with Yoga and Ayurveda, Dosha balancing with Ayurveda oils and remedies. Case studies, intake procedures / collecting data, developing Wellness programs (Ayurveda sadhana), Self home oil treatment (abhyanga) demonstration, Closing ceremony.
HOME TRAINING (optional extra cost) 4 WEEKS AYURVEDA SADHANA PRACTICE The purpose of the home training is to develop your Ayurveda sadhana, which is a tapas to understand and experience the effects that Ayurveda has on your system. Schedule a private session with a Yoga Awareness teacher, either online or in-person, to discuss your Ayurvedic needs and a daily home practice. At the end of each week you can then submit a weekly sadhana report for 4 continuous weeks. PRICE: 2x (45 mins each) private session + worksheets $150
Training Certification On completion of your training you will receive the Yoga Awareness Level 2 certification. Your training hours can be credited to Yoga Awareness YAT300 or YAT500 Yoga Teacher certification and Yoga Alliance RYT500 registration.
