Thai Basil and Ayurveda
Here in Hawaii one can have a wonderful lanai garden. I have grown some amazing plants in pots including this Thai Basil, “Ocimum Bacilicum.” Many cultivars of basil such as “Genovese” are known for their presence in Italian dishes and Thai for its subtleties in curries. Medicinally, basil is an internal and external anti-inflammatory. It also has a high level of vitamin C. Whether you snip its leaves and flowers onto a salad or stir it into your favorite pasta sauce or curry, basil certainly enhances a daily practice of wellness and nutrition. - Melanie Barclay -
