Less is more - Aloha from Peggy in Pukalani, Maui Yoga Awareness

In āsana, less is more. Simple doesn't have to mean boring. Simple is in fact where it's at.

When a yoga practice is based and focused on breath, it is accessible. Only then we allow ourselves to slow down and be deeply absorbed by what we are actually doing. With simple postures, like the one pictured here (vajrāsana to child pose), when they are executed with an intention and full attention to our breath, our practice becomes more of a meditation.

The best reward for me when teaching a group class, is when everyone is deeply absorbed in their breath and movement practice. When everyone, no matter their ability or circumstance, is connecting with themselves through their yoga experience. In samastitti, even and still.
