The Ala Moana park yoga class is instructed by Masumi Muramatsu, who is a certified Yoga Awareness YAT 600 teacher and teaches authentic Raja Yoga from the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar yoga lineage. Masumi trained in Honolulu and has been teaching for many years in Tokyo. She now travels to Japan to co-teach yoga teacher trainings.
Masumi puts importance on breath-based movement in her yoga class which energizes your body using core and at the same time brings you inner stillness. You’ll find her class filled with brightness and calmness which comes from Japanese “KI” meaning energy or chi. Her knowledge of yoga and sequencing makes for both a strengthening and therapeutic yoga class. The vinyasa-s are safe for our body and help ease your stiffness and pain.
