Training Overview
YOGA TEACHER PRACTICUM LEVEL 1 training is for 20 half days with a total of 100 hours of in-person studio or online zoom training. On successful completion you will receive a Yoga Awareness certification.

LEARN: Develop your professional skills as a Yoga Teacher with the authentic teachings of Raja Yoga by Patanjali as taught through the Krishnamacharya-Desikachar lineage.

CURRICULUM: Chanting practice, Yoga Teaching theory, Verbal Yoga teaching instruction, Asana sequence drawing, Student Yoga teaching practice, Anatomy and Physiology.

Training Format
IN-PERSON STUDIO OR ONLINE ZOOM

DAY 1 - 5

DAY 6 - 9
Chanting Yoga Sutra-s • Pranayama methodology • Student pranayama teaching practice • Verbal teaching instructions • Student asana teaching practice • Teaching theory - Yoga Class Check–in & Diagnosis • Yoga Class Common Health FAQ's • Homework.

DAY 10 - 14
Anatomy & Physiology - Muscles used in asana • Teaching Theory - Yoga Class Sequencing • Design Mini Vinyasa Sequences • Write Mini Vinyasa Sequences Verbal • Practice Mini Vinyasa Sequences • Teaching theory - Yoga Class Common Health FAQ's • Yoga Class Sequencing • Homework.

DAY 15 - 18
Anatomy & Physiology - Muscles used in asana • Design & Write Maha Vinyasa Sequences Verbal (1 - 4) • Practice Maha Vinyasa Sequences (1 - 4) • Homework.

DAY 19 - 20
Anatomy & Physiology - Muscles used in Asana • Skeletal Systems • Muscular Systems • Closing Ceremony.

HOME TRAINING (optional extra cost)
Yoga Teacher written critique. The purpose of this home training is to help you develop your Yoga Teaching sadhana. Design and draw a ‘maha-vinyasa’ sequence and submit a report of your written verbal asana instructions. Your class sequence will be critiqued by a Yoga Awareness teacher. Comments will be made on your report and a PDF emailed for your review. PRICE: 1x critique (90 mins) + worksheets $150.

Training Certification
On completion of your training you will receive the Yoga Awareness certification. Your training hours can be credited to Yoga Awareness YAT200 Yoga Teacher certification and Yoga Alliance RYT200 registration.
